1. Overview
At Lion Photography, we are committed to delivering high-quality photography services and complete client satisfaction. However, we understand that sometimes plans change. This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds are handled.
📸 Our Promise: We strive to be fair and transparent. Most issues can be resolved through communication — please reach out before requesting a refund.
2. Booking Deposit Policy
To confirm your booking with Lion Photography, a non-refundable deposit is required:
Wedding & Events: 30% of total package amount (minimum ₹15,000)
Portrait / Maternity / Pre-wedding: 50% of total package amount
Commercial / Corporate: As per invoice terms (typically 30-50%)
⚠️ Important: The booking deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances. It secures your date and compensates us for turning away other potential clients.
3. Cancellation by Client
If you need to cancel your booking, the following refund structure applies based on the notice period before the scheduled event date:

100% of remaining balance refunded
30 - 59 days before event
50% of remaining balance refunded
15 - 29 days before event
25% of remaining balance refunded
Less than 14 days before event
No refund (full payment due)
💡 Example: If your package is ₹1,00,000, deposit ₹30,000 is non-refundable. You cancel 45 days before — you get 100% of remaining ₹70,000 back = ₹70,000 refund.
4. Cancellation by Lion Photography
In the rare event that Lion Photography needs to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances (medical emergency, equipment failure, or force majeure), we will:
✅ Offer a full refund of all payments made (including deposit).
✅ Attempt to find a trusted replacement photographer from our network.
✅ If you accept replacement, no refund applies — service continues as agreed.
🦁 Force Majeure: Natural disasters, pandemics, government lockdowns, or extreme weather. In such cases, we offer rescheduling instead of refunds (see Section 6).
5. Rescheduling Policy
We understand life happens. You may reschedule your shoot or event subject to the following:
Rescheduling request: Must be made at least 30 days before the original date.
Fee: First reschedule is free. Second reschedule incurs a ₹5,000 fee.
New date availability: Subject to our calendar. We will try our best to accommodate.
Deposit transfer: Your deposit will be applied to the new date.
⚠️ Rescheduling within 14 days of the event is treated as a cancellation (no refund) unless due to medical emergency with valid documentation.
6. Force Majeure (Pandemic, Lockdowns, Natural Calamities)
In case of government-imposed lockdowns, natural disasters, or similar uncontrollable events:
Option 1: Reschedule to a future date at no extra cost.
Option 2: Convert your deposit into a credit valid for 12 months.
Option 3: Partial refund (50% of deposit, 100% of other payments) after deducting incurred costs.
We treat each force majeure situation fairly and on a case-by-case basis.
7. Refund Process
If you are eligible for a refund under this policy:
Submit a written refund request via email to refunds@lionphotography.com.
Include your contract number, event date, and reason for cancellation.
We will process your request within 7-10 business days.
Refunds are issued via the original payment method (bank transfer, UPI, credit card).
Payment gateway fees (typically 2-3%) are non-refundable.
⏱️ Timeline: Refunds may take 5-7 additional business days to reflect in your account depending on your bank.
8. Dissatisfaction with Final Photos
Your satisfaction is our priority. If you are unhappy with the delivered photos:
Step 1: Notify us within 7 days of receiving your gallery.
Step 2: We will offer free re-edits of up to 20 photos.
Step 3: If still unsatisfied, we may offer a partial refund (up to 30% of package) based on review.
📸 Note: Refunds are not provided for "creative differences" in style (e.g., you prefer dark & moody vs our bright & natural editing). Our portfolio is available before booking.
9. No-Show Policy
If the client fails to show up for a scheduled shoot without prior notice:
No refund of any amount paid.
Rescheduling fee: ₹3,000 to book a new date.
Waiting time: Photographer will wait 30 minutes after agreed start time. After that, shoot is considered cancelled.

11. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
To initiate a cancellation or refund request, please contact us with your contract details:

We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and process eligible refunds within 7-10 business days.
12. Agreement to Terms
By booking a service with Lion Photography, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund & Cancellation Policy. This policy forms part of your service contract.
No refunds or cancellations will be entertained outside these terms.
